پيشگفتار

عصر تيمور و جانشينانش يکي از اعصار مهم تاريخ ايران به شمار مي‌آيد. در ابتدا چنين به نظر مي‌رسد که به علت جنگ‌هاي فراوان داخلي و خارجي، قتل و غارت و نبود امنيت و آرامش در اين دوره آثار ادبي، هنري اندکي وجود داشته باشد. بعضي از محققين معتقدند اين دوره، دوره‌ی انحطاط دانش و هنر است زيرا تازگي در آثار ديده نمي‌شود و فرهنگ و تمدن تيموري را دنباله‌ی تمدن مغولان مي‌دانند، برخي نيز آن را رستاخيز يا رنسانس تيموري مي‌دانند. اکثر محققين به تدوين اوضاع سياسي پرداخته‌اند و مقوله‌هاي فرهنگي و اجتماعي را در درجه‌ي بعدي اهميت در پژوهش‌هاي خود قرار داده‌اند.
موضوع اين کتاب بررسي تحولات فرهنگي و اجتماعي خراسان بزرگ در عصر تيموريان از سال ۷۷۱ تا ۸۵۰ هجري مي‌باشد و هدف آن مطالعه و بررسي وضعيت مذهبي، ادبي، هنري، اجتماعي، وضعيت شهرها، روستاها، قبايل و طبقات اجتماعي در سرزمين خراسان مي‌باشد. پس از بررسي منابع اصلي و تحقيقاتي اين نتايج به دست آمده است که در طول حاکميت تيموريان بر خراسان مقدمات تغييرات وسيعي در زمينه‌هاي مختلف فراهم شده است.
مولف در بررسي وضعيت اجتماعي اين دوره با از هم گسيختگي اجتماعي و نبود طبقات به معني امروزي روبرو مي‌شود. در تالیف کتاب سعي شده است عناصر تشکيل دهنده‌ي اجتماع شناخته شود. از يکسو مهاجرت قبايل همراه تيمور به خراسان باعث روي آوردن به شيوه‌ي زندگي کوچ نشيني شد واز ديگر سو حمايت دولت از شهر و شهرنشيني موجب بازگشت مردم به شهرهاي بازسازي شده و رشد و رونق زندگي شهري و حرفه‌ها و پيشه‌ها و تجارت شد. وجود اين دوگانگي در ساختار اجتماعي خراسان از مشخصه‌هاي عمده اجتماعي اين عصر مي‌باشد.
در برخي عرصه‌ها زمينه براي تغيير و تحول فراهم شده است، براي مثال مقدمات ظهور مکتب هرات و سبک هندي به ترتيب در هنر و ادب فراهم شد. در برخي زمينه‌ها در ابتدا دنباله‌روي از دوره مغول ديده مي‌شود و با گذشت زمان تغييرات خاص تيموري ديده مي‌شود.

Preface

The era of Timur and his successors is considered one of the most important eras in the history of Iran. At first, it seems that due to many internal and external wars, murder and looting and the lack of security and peace in this period, there are few literary and artistic works. Some researchers believe that this period is the period of the decline of knowledge and art because freshness is not seen in the works, and they consider Timurid culture and civilization to be the sequel of Mongol civilization, while others consider it to be Timurid renaissance or renaissance. Most of the researchers have studied the political situation and placed cultural and social categories in the next level of importance in their research.
The subject of this book is to investigate the cultural and social developments of Great Khorasan during the Timurid era from 771 to 850 AH and its purpose is to study and investigate the religious, literary, artistic, social situation, the situation of cities, villages, tribes and social classes in the land of Khorasan. After examining the original and research sources, these results have been obtained that during the rule of Timurids over Khorasan, preparations were made for extensive changes in various fields.
In examining the social situation of this period, the author faces social disintegration and the absence of classes in today’s sense. In the compilation of the book, an attempt has been made to identify the constituent elements of society. On the one hand, the migration of tribes accompanying Timur to Khorasan led to a nomadic lifestyle, and on the other hand, the government’s support for the city and urbanization led to the return of people to the reconstructed cities and the growth and prosperity of urban life, professions, and trade. The existence of this duality in the social structure of Khorasan is one of the major social characteristics of this era.
In some areas, the ground has been prepared for change and transformation, for example, the foundations for the emergence of the Herat school and the Indian style were provided in art and literature, respectively. In some areas, at first, a continuation of the Mongol period is seen, and with the passage of time, specific changes of Timurid can be seen.
