Abstract
The literary translation is the object of a specific concern since it is considered the most difficult of all. In recent years, women have had an important role in creating literary works. However men’s involvement in this aspect of this culture has been more than women, women with a huge effort in this context strive to fill the gap in the literature. War which has been seen with men’s role has not allotted any place to women. This is in a way that women have had special roles such as providing donations and serving on the front line at war, yet little attention has been paid to these roles. Memoirs of these women have been retold in this way in men’s objective culture. The texts of martyr’s spouses’ memoirs retell about the man of war. The main question of this study is “how is Gender Prototype Representation in memoirs of One Woman’s War (Da)”, and what methods have been considered by the author to keep distance from the discourse prevailing the community about women’s roles and to which extent these methods have become successful. To give a response to this question, three hypotheses have been considered for which Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis has been considered; further, Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis has been considered to analyze the findings and results. To sum up, translation of the book “One Woman’s War (Da) was totally analyzed through Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis.
