پیشگفتار

کتاب حاضر با هدف بررسي تأثیر تشويق بر پيشرفت تحصيلي دانش آموزان ابتدايي تهیه‌ شده است. جامعه سالم و پویا متشکل از افرادی است که به‌اندازه کافی از تخصص و تعهد برخوردار باشند. در این صورت رسالت اساسی تعلیم و تربیت پرورش انسان‌هایی است که متناسب با نیازها و اهداف جامعه از یک‌سو و امکانات و استعدادهای خود از سوی دیگر به نحو متعادلی از دانش و بینش و مهارت لازم بهره‌مند باشند، لذا می‌توان گفت تجزیه‌وتحلیل و بهبود فراورده‌ای بنیادین نظام‌های آموزشی و آموزشگاهی از اهمیت و اولویت ویژه‌ای برخوردار است. تشویق و تنبیه به‌عنوان دو ابزار و مکانیزم انگیزشی از دیرباز موردتوجه و استفاده معلمان بوده است به‌نحوی‌که می‌توان گفت تاریخ به‌کارگیری اصل تشویق و تنبیه و استفاده از آن به‌عنوان انگیزه‌ای برای تربیت انسان‌ها به قدمت تاریخ تعلیم و تربیت است.
هر جا نشان و اثری از تعلیم و تربیت بیابیم بدون شک همراه و هم‌زمان با آن نیز کاربرد انواع مکانیزم های تشویقی و تنبیهی را مشاهده خواهیم نمود. حضور همیشگی و قدمت تشویق و تنبیه را می‌توان دلیلی بر ضرورت آن دانست علاوه بر این با مراجعه به منابع و مآخذ دینی و علم نیز مشاهده می‌شود که تبشیر و انذار و پاداش و عقوبت به‌کرات در آیات و احادیث گوشزد شده است.
بررسی نظرات مربیان و اندیشمندان اخیر نیز نشانگر ضرورت و اهمیت استفاده از هر دو عامل تشویق و تنبیه در جریان تعلیم و تربیت است. تشويق و تنبیه همچنان که می‌تواند آثار مطلوب و سازنده داشته باشد همچنین می‌تواند موجب بروز پیامدهای منفی و نامطلوب نیز باشد.
تشویق چنانچه صحیح و به‌موقع انجام شود عامل تقویت و ترغیب دانش آموزان و چنانچه مبتنی بر اصول علمی نباشد موجب غرور و خودخواهی و انحراف مسیر تعلیم و تربیت می‌گردد. همچنین تنبیه صحیح می‌تواند باعث آگاهی و هوشیاری دانش آموزان و اعمال نسنجیده آن موجب سرخوردگی یأس و ناامیدی می‌گردد.

Abstract

This book has been prepared with the aim of investigating the effect of encouragement on the academic progress of primary school students. A healthy and dynamic society consists of people who have enough expertise and commitment. In this case, the basic mission of education is to raise people who can benefit from the necessary knowledge, insight and skills in a balanced way according to the needs and goals of the society on the one hand and their facilities and talents on the other hand, so it can be said to analyze and improve the fundamental products of the systems Education and school are of special importance and priority. Encouragement and punishment as two motivational tools and mechanisms have been noticed and used by teachers for a long time, in such a way that it can be said that the history of applying the principle of encouragement and punishment and using it as a motivation for educating people is as old as the history of education.
Wherever we find signs and effects of education, we will undoubtedly see the use of various incentive and punishment mechanisms along with it. The constant presence and antiquity of encouragement and punishment can be seen as a proof of its necessity. In addition, by referring to religious and scientific sources, it can be seen that tidings, warnings, rewards, and punishments have been pointed out many times in verses and hadiths.
Examining the opinions of recent educators and thinkers also shows the necessity and importance of using both factors of encouragement and punishment in the course of education. While encouragement and punishment can have positive and constructive effects, they can also cause negative and undesirable consequences.
If encouragement is done correctly and on time, it is the factor of strengthening and motivating students, and if it is not based on scientific principles, it causes pride and selfishness and deviation from the path of education. Also, correct punishment can make students aware and alert, and its ill-considered actions cause frustration, despair and hopelessness.
